Lata Felda Lawin Selatan

The recreational area in the peaceful atmosphere of this village has become another relaxing destination in the Hulu Perak district. It is located in the middle of the Kuala Kangsar-Gerik road near Felda Lawin Selatan, about 25 kilometers from Gerik town, Perak. Increasingly popular among the residents of the state, Lata Ulu Lawin is decorated with piles of river stones of various sizes along the river bank area for two km. The lush green trees that grow wild around it become a natural canopy as a place for visitors to shelter and relax from the scorching sun. This destination is ideal for a weekend getaway with the family as many free facilities are provided by the Gerik District Council (MDG). These include rest huts, benches, cooking and barbecue corners, foot walks, changing rooms and toilets. Most interestingly, there are small islands formed from the flow of the river in this cascade. For the convenience of visitors, MDG built a bridge to connect the riverbank area and the island.
